KOH Progressive Movement Appoints State Coordinator, Media and Welfare Leaders as Membership Approaches 100
Founding members strengthen the movement’s leadership structure during a two-hour virtual meeting and agree to organise a Meet-and-Greet for new members at Kanu Ndubuisi Park, Alausa.
LAGOS — KOH Progressive Movement recorded another significant milestone in its early organisational development on Friday, 29 May 2026, as its founding members convened a virtual meeting at 8:00 p.m. to strengthen the movement’s leadership structure and deliberate on its expanding membership.
The meeting lasted approximately two hours, concluding around 10:00 p.m., with key leadership appointments and plans for a Meet-and-Greet gathering among the major outcomes.
Discussions centred on establishing clearer coordination responsibilities, strengthening communication and member welfare, and creating opportunities for the movement’s growing membership to connect directly with its leadership.
With membership already approaching 100 people, the founding members recognised the importance of building an effective organisational structure that could support the movement’s continued growth.
Founding Members Approve Key Leadership Appointments
One of the most important outcomes of the meeting was the appointment of three members to oversee major aspects of the movement’s operations.
The appointments were designed to provide clearer leadership, improve internal coordination and establish defined responsibilities as the movement continued to expand.
Comrade Rotimi Ogunmuyiwa
Appointed to coordinate the movement’s activities across Lagos State.
Mr. Femi Ayandipe
Appointed to coordinate media activities, public communications, publicity and the movement’s digital presence.
Mrs. Jadesola Alabi
Appointed to chair the committee responsible for coordinating welfare-related matters within the movement.
Ogunmuyiwa Appointed State Coordinator
Comrade Rotimi Ogunmuyiwa, a founding member of KOH Progressive Movement, was appointed State Coordinator during the virtual meeting.
His appointment represented an important development in the movement’s leadership structure, establishing a designated role for coordinating activities at the state level.
Ogunmuyiwa had been actively involved in the movement’s early activities, including the inaugural meeting of 5 May 2026 and the Ifako-Ijaiye engagement of 21 May 2026.
Femi Ayandipe Takes Charge of Media and Publicity
Recognising his expertise as a technology specialist, the founding members appointed Mr. Femi Ayandipe as the movement’s Media and Publicity Coordinator.
The appointment established a dedicated leadership responsibility for coordinating the movement’s media activities, publicity, digital communication and public information.
Ayandipe had previously been entrusted with establishing the movement’s official WhatsApp group and coordinating its initial social media presence following the inaugural meeting.
His new appointment provided a formal organisational structure for these communication responsibilities.
Jadesola Alabi Appointed Welfare Committee Chairperson
Mrs. Jadesola Alabi was appointed Chairperson of the Welfare Committee , creating a dedicated leadership role for coordinating member welfare activities.
The decision recognised the importance of attending to welfare matters within a growing organisation and ensuring that responsibility for such activities was clearly assigned.
By Friday, 29 May 2026, KOH Progressive Movement had grown from its seven founding members to approximately 100 members.
This growth, recorded within the movement’s first month of organisational activities, made it increasingly important to strengthen communication, encourage participation and create opportunities for members to interact with the leadership.
Meet-and-Greet Agreed for New Members
Another major decision reached during the two-hour meeting was the agreement to organise a Meet-and-Greet for the movement’s newest members.
The gathering was conceived as an opportunity for new members to meet the movement’s Convener, Mrs. Mobolaji Daba, personally and become better acquainted with the vision guiding the organisation.
Beyond introductions, the proposed gathering was intended to bring members together, strengthen their sense of belonging and encourage a shared understanding of the movement’s direction.
The founding members agreed that the gathering would take place at Kanu Ndubuisi Park, Alausa, Lagos.
Meet the Convener. Understand the Vision. Connect with Members.
The proposed Meet-and-Greet would bring new and existing members together for personal interaction with the Convener, Mrs. Mobolaji Daba.
The gathering was designed to create an atmosphere for introductions, fellowship and a better understanding of the movement’s shared vision.
Agreed venue: Kanu Ndubuisi Park, Alausa, Lagos.
Meet-and-Greet Announcement Flyer
The Meet-and-Greet initiative was accompanied by a promotional flyer announcing the planned gathering.
Strengthening the Movement for Continued Growth
The decisions reached during the virtual meeting marked a significant stage in the movement’s organisational development.
With a State Coordinator, Media and Publicity Coordinator, and Welfare Committee Chairperson now appointed, the movement had established clearer responsibilities in three important areas of its operations.
The agreement to organise a Meet-and-Greet also demonstrated the importance placed on helping new members understand the movement’s vision and connect directly with its leadership.
Coming less than one month after the inaugural meeting of 5 May 2026, the virtual meeting reflected the movement’s progress from its initial founding arrangements towards a more coordinated structure.
